Community Medicine

This department deals mainly with preventive aspects of medicine. Students understand and treat medical health problems in relation to social strata, by actual interaction with local resident population. Students will undergo two months of internship in this department, one month each at urban and rural health centers. They learn to understand and organize health programs and health camps. They learn human values like sympathy, empathy and sincerity towards a doctor’s job so as to create doctors with humanity.
